Edit Tag
========

Edits an existing DICOM tag. The tag must be selected. The tag can be edited by clicking the |edit| button on the :ref:`dcmtoolbar` or by selecting "Edit tag' from the :ref:`editmenu`.See :ref:`dcmtoolbar` for editing DICOM files.


|Note| Editing a DICOM file may corrupt it.

|Note| Do not put quotes around strings or character sequences else they will be double quoted.
